Toledo Lounge

Decided to try out Toledo Lounge for lunch and was not disappointed. I ordered the salt and pepper squid rings, Patatas bravas, Queso fondito, and the Louisiana chicken.

The squid rings were crispy and perfectly seasoned, the patatas bravas were fluffy on the inside, and served with a delicious tomato and cream sauce. The Queso was served with a side of nachos and could be filled with either chorizo or red peppers - both a delicious choice. The chicken was tender and crispy, however the portion was rather small.

Service was quick and the whole restaurant had a homey, vintage feel to it. Letting customers choose where they wanted to sit was a new element I have never come across, but greatly enjoyed. For dessert I ordered the hot chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, apart from being a little sickly-sweet, the rich flavours were perfect.

I am looking forward to returning to Toledo to try out their range of coffee which smelled divine upon entering. Thank you to the staff who kept checking on the table!
